these pictures are from mycenae, a village 10 minutes away from my city. this is from where the greeks started the invasion of troy. the king menelaos, leader of the greeks at the time, was living here. this is his castle. the first picture is called the 'lions gate' and is the entrance of the castle. the second is 'the tomb of cletemnestra' which is right next to

the castle.

This is the church of Virgin Mary in Kefalari, a small village in the outskirts of argos

this is bourtzi, a small rock in the sea which 200 years ago was used as a prison. it's 15 minutes away from my city argos, in a town called nafplio, which was the first capital of greece after we became independent from the turks.

The Larissa castle in the city of argos was built in 1800 BD. it played an important role in the Greek revolution against the Ottaman empire in 1821. these days, despite the fact that it isn't in very good condition, the castle is used for various cultural events such as concerts.
